ROTATION :- Earth rotates round its axis from west to east once in twenty -four hours. This motion of earth is called rotation.

REVOLUTION :- Earth revolves round the Sun once in approximately 365 1/4 days ,that is , the period we call a year. This motion of earth round the Sun is
called revolution.
